about greg punch

As a photographer and filmmaker, I have regularly moved between educational, architectural and engineering projects, creating resources that document and celebrate construction, renovation and adaptive reuse for historic buildings.

Greg Punch with camera These include the transformation of the ‘Majestic Theatre’ in Petersham from disused 1920's cinema into a residential complex; the ‘Roxy’ and 'Peter's & Co' cafe in Bingara, revived as a multi purpose community asset; three restored houses by colonial architect John Verge and public buildings in a dozen small towns across NSW and Victoria.

Along the way I've collected awards for video lighting and camera work from both the Australian and British Societies of Educational Technology.

Other experiences have included;

• two years as a news and documentary cameraman in regional television
• graduate of the Australian Film Television and Radio School (AFTRS)
• filming a series of public health training videos in China
• five years with the University of Sydney producing around 60 educational and promotional videos
• engineering documentation projects for Sydney Water, Baulderstone and SGS Certification Services
• cataloguing a film archive covering the entire construction process of Warragamba Dam
• creating training videos on OH&S for the Independent Education Union and Parramatta Rail Link
• filming and editing 26 promotional short films for the University of Western Sydney
